For those of you who couldn’t make it to PAX 2011 in Seattle this year, well you missed out (evidently I did too), however there’s still time to grab the last few event only collectables that seem to be circulating on eBay.

With my personal interest in the Halo series I thought I’d do a quick round up of the most sought after items selling on eBay. I’ve personally picked up one of each to help me sleep well at night.

Limited Edition Warthog – (Only 5000 Made)

Mega Bloks were at the event with a strong presence this year due to Halo Fest (a one time event celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Halo). The warthog set with 2 mini figures (a gold coloured covenant arbiter and a mark II spartan) was probably the dream catch of the event.

With only 5000 ever made complete with Halo Fest branding and limited edition texts plastered all over the box this was a big thing for collectors at the show and quite rightly so are now fetching anything from $40 to $100 on eBay. There was even a couple of signed warthogs listed which went for a little more, no doubt great buys for whoever got them.

Oh and by the way the warthog was also handed out at the event in a cool recyclable tote bag, so if you bid on one of these try to go for the auctions that are including the bag.

Limited Edition Mini Figures

Other items of note include 3 mini figures which again came with all the Halo Fest exclusive stamping on them and once again were distributed in limited quantities never to be available in shops ever again. With 3 figures to collect an elite, a marine and a spartan with a 1:100 chance of bagging an ultra rare active camo jackal (it’s a clear see through figure) makes these sealed mini figure packs all the more tempting.

Halo Grunt Plushies – (Only 5000 Made)

Although not my kind of thing these halo grunt plushies were also event exclusives available to purchase from just $17. What makes these especially cool apart from the fact that only 5000 were made is that it’s the first and only halo themed plushie toy ever to be made. Definitely a collectors item and I nabbed one for myself even though I don’t normally collect cuddly toys. Can’t get enough of these collectables to be quite honest.
